Treason is Treason, and Other State Interference in America's Election By Russia Should Require a NEW ELECTION.

The big news story this weekend that is not capturing near as much news coverage as it should, is the CIA admitting that Russia interfered in our Presidential Election with the intention of seeing Donald J Trump elected as our 45th President of the United States of America.  This news is even more than disturbing when you look at the incredibly close margins of victory for Mr. Trump in 4-5 states where he just barely won, and the overwhelming Popular Vote Victory that Hillary Clinton won by almost 3 Million votes...total margin of victory in the 4 Battleground States that gave Trump his Electoral College win is less than 80,000 votes...perhaps less if Wisconsin, Michigan, Florida and Pennsylvania would allow a "Free and Fair" hand recount.

There are charges of Treason racing across Twitter, and we must give a serious ear to these allegations by the voters.  Senator Mitch McConnell knew about Russia's involvement in the race almost two months before election day, but SAT ON THE INFORMATION, as did Speaker Paul Ryan, and Donald J. Trump and his staff.   That is TREASON.   The director of the FBI knew about the Russian involvements, but kept them secret, while having no problems eleven days before the vote trotting out a FAKE NEWS story meant to be the final nail in Hillary Clinton's campaign to win the White House...a clear violation of the Hatch Act, but perhaps Treason as well.

For some, they are clinging to the fairy tale that the Electoral College will realize that Donald J Trump is a demagogue, perhaps a traitor to the United States, and vote in a way (Hamilton Voters) that A) keeps Trump out of the White House, or perhaps throws their vote to Hillary Clinton. Think this is a highly unlikely scenario, odds about the same as any one individual winning Super Lotto's big prize.  Getting 38 Republicans Electoral College voters to reverse direction is a very tall order, and one probably doomed from the very start as Electoral College Voters are very faithful party first Republicans and Democrats who are very firm in their loyalty to party, even if the best thing for the United States is placing country first over party loyalty.

If it would catch fire, think there is a much better chance with a Petition of Redress (a First Amendment Right) presented to Barack Obama, the House of Representatives, and the United States Senate.  Such a petition requires a minimum of 100,000 voter signatures, but to have a chance, would think such a Petition would need Millions of Signatures to receive any serious consideration. Furthermore, for such a petition to have a chance, it is imperative that "We the People" be allowed to see the evidence that has been collected by the FBI, CIA and other investigative bodies of the Federal Government that would lay out the proof of Putin/Russian interference in our election, as well as the extent of that interference.

An election won with the help of a Nation State in Russia, stolen for Donald J Trump with the help of one Vladimir Putin cannot be allowed to stand.   At best President Elect Donald J. Trump is a wannabe despot who will make America a Banana Republic during his four year tenure.  At worse, he will declare Marshall Law and bring down the best Democracy the world has ever seen.   We must not be silent, we must become the Active Resistance.

The White Vote In Presidential Elections...a Look Back in Time

A huge percentage of American Voters never in a million years imagined that Donald J. Trump could win the Presidential Election...sadly we were wrong.  Voter apathy (46 percent of eligible voters did not bother to show up), Russian hacking, Wikileaks, the FBI all playing a part in his surprising upset of Hillary Rodham Clinton.  News shows, pundits and historians alike are all debating and discussing the reasons behind his big win, but the biggest reason he seems to have won is White Voters...more specifically White Male Voters.   Trump spoke to them directly, Hillary Clinton did not.  Sure some will disagree with this.

I am a liberal, supported Hillary Clinton throughout both the primary and general election, and am saddened at her loss moire than I care to admit.  I support, for the most part, the liberal movement and all that implies, but I am not in complete lockstep with the liberal movement, nor the Democratic Party on all issues, and do not think we should or have to be.  As a White Voter, a White Male Voter I have felt marginalized for to long.  

I was reviewing some of my old writings from 2015, and found an article I wrote concerning the lack of attention given to White Voters that I am going to share here...in some ways feel as if it addresses the problem of ignoring our vote, in taking it for granted.  Sharing the article because I do think we would have Hillary Clinton putting her cabinet together if she and the Democratic Party had actually taken some time to actually talk to and listen to the concerns of Hurting White Voters (not angry White Voters) during the Presidential Campaign.

Looking Back...Article Written in November of 2015

Compared to most, I am a bit of a news junkie, falling asleep, waking up to CNN each and every day, my television spending the better part of every 24 hour day on one news channel or another, my brain absorbing news as I go about my day.  The big news item from now until November of 2016 is the circus we call the  "Presidential Election".  

From politicians to pundits, everyone of them seems interested in pandering to this special interest group or the other, is worried that they are not wooing enough Latinos (and Illegal Immigrants), Black POC (Black Lives Matter), or some other ethnic group that could STEER THE ELECTION their way.  This kowtowing to special interest groups is all well, fine and dandy, but not when it comes at the expense of the largest (and most marginalized) voting block in America, "The White Voter".

Here's a clue...a full 72 percent of those who bothered to vote in the 2012 Presidential Election were lower/middle class white voters.  Yet, we have been marginalized by both sides of the aisle, neither Republicans or Democrats giving us the time of day, spending no time out on the campaign trail addressing our needs, and our concerns.   What makes us chopped liver, what gives these two political parties the right to simply IGNORE US, and more importantly, what do we need to do to have our issues placed on the table for discussion and redress?

Attention WHITE TOAST VOTERS...let's first and foremost stop showing so much PARTY UNITY...we are split down the middle on a small handful of issues, almost always vote along party lines and this allows politicians to ignore us, instead spending all their time courting various and assorted pockets of minority voters of various and assorted interest groups and nationalities, seeing them as the groups that will give them their margin of victory.

There is something wrong with the system when politicians spend so much political capital talking too and about illegal immigrants (criminals according to the law) in the hopes of winning a larger percentage of the Hispanic vote, and no time addressing the concerns of 72 percent of the voting electorate.  Latino's in the 2012 election represented ten percent of those voting in the election, while white voters represented 72 percent of those who voted in the election...yet, WHERE IS OUR VOICE?   "Black Lives Matter", but guess what, so do white lives, and where is Hillary Rodham Clinton when it comes to speaking to and specifically addressing the concerns of this very large white voting block?  Women are talked to of all colors, same with the LGBT, Black and Muslim communities, but rarely if ever does she speak to white men directly about their hurts and pains.

As White Voters we can only blame ourselves, have marginalized our voting block by being party faithfuls split down the middle, half of us siding with Republicans, the other half siding with Democrats while both parties take our votes for granted.  Let's put our rubber-stamp votes away, become a block of issues-centric voters united across party lines for candidates that represent and address our needs and our concerns.  I am all for equal rights, support some form of Immigration Reform, pro Marriage Equality, support Black Lives Matter, gun ho for Gay Rights, Women's Rights, but am also really tired of feeling marginalized, even demonized as a White Male Voter.  When and where do we get spoken to about our concerns?

Lets become confrontational, lets demand that our voices be heard for a change...the sometimes militant actions of the "Black Lives Matter" movement have gotten them two private meetings with Hillary Clinton, and a promise from her that their concerns will be a part of her concerns as she maps out her plan for a "Greater America" and kudos for them.   Illegal Immigrants and their supporters have both sides of the aisle sitting on their hands refusing to enforce our current laws out of fear that they might lose some of their share of that ten percent of the voting pie....HELLO....we marginalized white voters represent 72 percent of the ENTIRE VOTING PIE...how about asking us what we want, and plugging our issues into your plan for the future?  Of that 72 percent, half of them (women) are being included by one candidate, but what about that other half, the 35-36 percent of voters who are White Men...other than Donald Trump, no one is speaking to us, and I could never vote for that man.

As long as we "White Voters" continue our history of voting along party lines, we will be marginalized, not just during the elections, but in our day to day lives.  

Affirmative Action...lets change that program around a bit.   Perhaps instead of Affirmative Action being a program that gives a hand up to people based on their ethnicity or sexual orientation, it should be a program that lends people a helping hand up the ladder based on their economic needs.  Does not a poor white child face the same obstacles to a better life as a poor Black or Hispanic child does?   Shouldn't they get those same advantages being doled out to people of color or a particular sexual orientation instead of being denied based upon the color of their skin?     Like it or not, reverse discrimination does exist.

Amnesty for those who are in America illegally...FORGET ABOUT IT unless we address as part of immigration reform helping those who have been hurt my illegal immigration.   Like it or not, every illegal immigrant is a criminal, has broken our laws as they exist at this moment in time. Furthermore, every illegal immigrant in our work force has contributed to lowering of the wage base of the American Worker,  has taken a job away from an American.   BASIC FACT....a company has to get the work done, and if there is not an illegal immigrant standing at the door offering to work on the cheap, the employer will raise wages to a level that provides him with the legal employees he/she needs to get the work done and keep the doors of their business open.   Immigration Reform MUST START WITH ENFORCEMENT, not AMNESTY!

Urban Renewal...how about some RURAL RENEWAL!  What, too many white folks living in Rural America?  Poor people (a lot of them White) live in Rural America, in the Midwestern rust belt are doing just as badly as the poor in Urban America's large population centers, but too often are forgotten about.  Let's life up and provide a living wage to ALL AMERICANS, lets life everyone up the ladder to economic stability and security.

It may offend some in the "Black Lives Matter" movement, but all lives matter, and that does include the 72 percent of voters who are white.   Curious, and be honest...how many in the "Black Lives Matter" movement have gotten upset at politicians who have stated all lives matter, and how many of you would be livid if there were suddenly a large social/political movement on the national stage who's stated name and purpose was "White Lives Matter".   Isn't that more than a bit hypocritical? Why does everything have to be so divided along color lines, when people suffering, hurting all deserve a hand up?  Black Lives do matter, and the group has focused attention on a VERY REAL MATTER, and deserve credit for that, and I applaud and support their movement...but I also wish to damn hell that we Whites and Blacks who are struggling, having a hard time holding onto the bottom rung of the economic ladder could figure out a way to get on the same team, and on the same game page. Can't we find a way to work together, to put pressure on the Uber Rich who are oppressing ALL OF US?

In the CNN debate tonight, I would like to see politicians answer one question:

"The costs of taking care of illegal immigrants and their anchor babies (ugly term) runs into the tens of billions of dollars each and every year.   If elected president, would you be willing to sign an immigrants and their offspring if it meant you could forgive the college loans of every single Legal American Citizen?"   

I believe we need Immigration reform, but lets work from a position of TRUTH ON THE MATTER.  Illegal Immigrants did broke the law, and some Americans were hurt as a result of their actions in working illegally in American.  Let's provide a pathway to citizenship, but do it in a way where those hurt by Illegal Immigration are made whole in the process.  Anything short of a solution that makes those hurt whole, while also providing a pathway is, in my mind an unacceptable untenable solution that must be opposed.

Think about it Republicans and Democrats...do you want to be doling out goodies to illegal immigrants and their children that are paid for with citizen tax dollars, or instead would you like to see the Federal Government forgive every single college loan on the books?   What positive changes would occur in voters and voters family's lives if they were suddenly free of that college debt?

As a voter of any color, regardless of your party affiliation, would you be willing to vote for a candidate that was willing to implement this one singular action on the first day of their presidency through an executive order if it could be done, if it freed you and your children up from tens of thousands in college loans?   Not meaning here to pick on those who came here illegally, they are doing what they can to take care of their own families...in fact, I blame government, and big business....if law enforcement were coming down hard on the employers, this issue would not even be on the radar, and the Immigration Reform issues would have been solved long ago.  In the name of CHEAP WAGES, law enforcement has given employers a FREE PASS when it comes to hiring Illegal Immigrants.

This is a call to action....stop allowing politicians to marginalize the largest voting block in America! Become a issue focused white voter today and abandon your single party loyalties.  Maybe if we do that, it will be a step to seeing voters Unite along economic lines, instead of dividing along ethnic, religious, sex/sexual orientation lines, and in that we then can turn our attention to the politicians and demand accountability, and laws that make America work for ALL CITIZENS, instead of just the few in the top ten percent, the UBER RICH who are oppressing us all.

Let's Make January 20th (Trump Inauguration Day) a National Day of Mourning...Protest in Black

Greetings America:

I am just one lone activist and Hillary Supporter living here in Rockland County NY.  Myself and others on Twitter have been discussing in Direct Messages a need to organize a MAJOR 50 State Protest on Inauguration Day...the theme..."National Day of Mourning" where all protesters would be encouraged to arrive at protest sites dressed in black as we Mourn on the day that Donald J Trump officially becomes President of the United States.

We know this can be done...there is a 50 State Protest being organized for this Saturday December 10 and a Million Woman March is being planned in Washington DC the day after the Inauguration.  So the will and the organizers are out there...we just need them to step in and help a small handful of Activists from Twitter in making it happen.  We need to take the focus off of Donald Trump on January 20th, and put the media attention on protesters who are mourning in all 50 states!

Water Protectors (For Now) HAVE WON...Army Corp Denies Easement to BIG OIL...NO DAPL

Congratulations WATER PROTECTORS

The Army Corp has spoken, and for now the Dakota Access Pipeline has been stopped, but it has not been killed!  Today, environmental activists, the Indian Nation, and Water Protectors have won a huge battle, and should bask in that win.   However, we must all be vigilant, and it is hoped that the protesters will continue their protests until the Army Corp has actually chosen a different route for this troublesome project.

Supposedly, there will be a full EIS (Environmental Impact Study) which could take months, even years.  Problem is, Donald J Trump will probably have something to say or do about this decision on his first day in office.   If everyone has already gone home, and this decision by the Army Corp gets quickly reversed, all of those who have sacrificed, who made this win possible will have won the battle, but in the end will lose the war.

For those here in NY, we celebrate with the Water Protectors tonight, but tomorrow we have to double our efforts on stopping the Spectra Pipeline that is being buried in the Hudson River less than 200 feet from the dangerous, dilapidated, failing Indian Point Nuclear Reactors which are owned by a company known for being less than honest in their dealings with the public...Entergy should have all of its Nuclear Reactors Shut down and decommissioned!

Last night, Saturday Night Live gave us a hysterically funny, and spot on humorous rendition of Donald Trump extremely disturbing Twitter addiction.  Instead of laughing with the rest of the nation, Trump ran to Twitter and hurled vexatious venom at the show, and specifically Alex Baldwin who does a spot on impersonation of "The Donald".   First thought...how can we as a nation put a man in the White House who's skin is so thin that he starts fights with a Late Night Comedy Show?  Can we say "pick your battles" Mr. Trump, followed closely by "he's not my president, and never will be my president."   Never will the words President Trump cross my lips, even if he does water boarding or some other unlawful extreme means of torture.

As if this was not bad enough, the man went on Twitter this morning threatening every manufacturing firm in America with a 35 percent tariff if they relocate a plant outside the borders of the United States of America.  Not even President yet, and throwing down the gauntlet, threatening what amounts to a Trade War with the rest of the world seems more than risky...will be interesting to see how the stock market reacts to this on Monday morning.   If I were a manufacturer contemplating building a plant in America, would seriously reconsider such an investment under such a hostile environment.   More importantly, if Trump starts a trade war by imposing exorbitant tariffs on imported goods, what is China (who holds in excess of a trillion dollars of our debt) going to do in the way of retaliation?

Media says we have never seen a President like this before, and that is putting it mildly.  From the moment he won the Electoral College, Donald Trump has done nothing but alienate those he is supposed to represent, while upsetting the diplomatic process in the name of making himself ever richer, using the White House as his new Corporate Marketing Department.  You could not create a more offensive list of cabinet members than Trump has put forward each person on the list worse in one way or another than the one before.  Anti-Choice, Anti Marriage Equality, Anti LGBT, bigots, racists, and Climate Deniers...pick your poison, most of his picks have as a part of who they are one or more of these self identifiers.   Instead of attempts at unifying Americans, Trump is telling us in his picks that you are either on his team, or you are the enemy.  

Lest any one still doubts it, Donald J Trump more and more appears to be a modern day reincarnation of Adolf Hitler in the flesh, poised short of a miracle of becoming the 45th President of the United States, and if you listen closely, you can hear his national call to arms as he prepares us for a war that we don't want, but will be forced to fight.   This is not the sour grapes of a Hillary Supporter, but rather an accurate look into a future that suddenly appears very bleak for our nation, and for the millions of working poor who call America home.

Is there any doubt that Donald Trump, Paul Ryan and the Republican Party are planning to wage a war of sorts on the poor, the unfortunate, and the elderly?  They want to eliminate Obama Care, take away health care for 22 Million citizens.   They want to eliminate and/or privatize the Medicaid Medicare system...never mind the fact that 79 Million Baby Boomers have paid into this system their entire working careers, counting on having a modicum of health coverage in their old age.  The same is planned for Social Security...again, something that 79 Million Baby Boomers have paid into the system their entire working career, their payments into the system matched by their employer.   Tax cuts are going mostly to those already rich, and several million Americans in the Middle Class will actually see their taxes going up.  These actions amount to a war on America's working poor.

On the International Stage, Donald Trump is setting the stage for war as well.  A prime example of this was his phone call to Taiwan which has upset a diplomatic agreement reached with China under President Ronald Reagan back in the early 80's.  As if that were not enough, he upset India by having a friendly chat with their sworn enemy...it should be noted here, that both of these calls were made to countries where Trump the corporation is pursuing and or building Luxury Hotel Projects.   The list goes on...he spoke to the leader of Turkey, and then miraculously his Istanbul project sees all of its problems disappear, same in the Philippines.   Diplomacy should not revolve around what is in the best interest of Trump Enterprises, but that is exactly what we are seeing since he became the President Elect.   

It is very scary times when people encourage their children to avoid serving in our Military...not because they are unpatriotic, but because the thought of Donald J Trump as 'Commander in Chief" scares the hell out of them.  His stacking his cabinet with at least 4 or 5 Generals, his willingness to make a disgraced General Secretary of State, his wanting to place another General in the position of Secretary of Defense whose nickname is "Mad Dog", and who is the anti-thesis of a civilian, could even be called a warmonger who had publicly stated killing is kind of fun.  

America's Alt Right has given this nation a monster who we thought was a ticking time bomb...instead, he is showing us each and every day that he is a Bomb Exploding right before our eyes, and in doing so, he threatens to destroy our country...he must be stopped using any and all legal means available to "We The People".

If You Elected Him Apologize to World!

We tried to warn people about the dangers of a Donald J Trump presidency.  We tried to warn all those Bernie Sanders, Jill Stein and Johnson voters, everyone one of those intent on placing a protest vote that this WAS NOT the election for such follies!  Democrats had a chance to control the Supreme Court for the next 25-40 years, but sadly these folks would not listen.  Now we are stuck with a mad man, a maniacal moron and self absorbed narcissistic, bigot embracing  maggot of a man as the 45th President of the United States of America!

Now, after the horse is out of the barn and running wild, upsetting forty years of Diplomatic Protocols with a call where he spoke to the President of Taiwan (where he has major interests in expanding his business interests), some of those who voted for him are questioning their vote, regretting pulling the lever for a man who is not only under qualified for the job, but DANGEROUS as well, a man who could and perhaps will launch Nuclear Weapons against those who upset him, and poke fun of him on Twitter.  

If you are one of these folks who realize the error of your ways...albeit far to late in the game...you owe the WORLD and apology for what you have unleashed.   This post is yours.  I encourage each of you to confess your regrets by leaving a comment in this thread.

Voter Recounts Raising Serious Questions About Integrity of Election

This Man STOLE ELECTION, Not My President!

So it is official...the recounts in certain states have begun, and because we are being denied a hand recount of the votes, questions will linger even after Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania have finished the task.  Which begs the question, WHAT ARE THEY HIDING...a question that takes on more urgency when states are downgrading the number of votes Donald J Trump received even before the recounts begin.   

Of course the various counties in Wisconsin that have changed their final vote tallies are wanting to claim...INNOCENT HUMAN ERROR...we don't think so.   It is believed by many in America that there has been deliberate manipulation of the vote to put Trump in the White House.   Couple this with the FBI's Comey interference, Russia's hacking of our election, and the Russian aided leaks from Wikileaks, and we as a nation have to come to but one conclusion...THE ELECTION WAS STOLEN by the Republicans with help from Putin.  That reality should not be allowed to stand, but in the name of a "Peaceful Transition of Power" is a reality that will stand, a reality that has threatened the very foundation stones of our American Democracy.

In Wisconsin, a Republican Judge is denying a paper recount...even more disturbing, why are 19 counties denying re-counters access to the paper ballots for voter verification purposes...we have a right to know the number of these ballots, and do they match up to the number of supposed votes submitted to the state....three counties already greatly downgraded the number of votes that were reported for Donald J. Trump.

Meanwhile, Trump is trying to stop the Michigan re-count in its tracks with a legal challenge filed by his legal team late yesterday afternoon.   If he is confident in his win, why try to stop a re-count...could it be he knows he could lose this state when all votes are DOUBLE CHECKED?

Those of us who are wanting to verify that our Election Process is fair and that every vote counts (fat chance with Electoral College) are also running into a great deal of turbulence in Pennsylvania as well.  Donald Trump lost the Popular Vote by over 2.5 MILLION votes, and around 70,000 votes in a handful of battleground states will put him in the White House..."We the People" deserve these recounts, deserve to know that he won those states...I will not use the word fairly, as outside agitators stole the 2016 elections with Russia leading the attack.

Yes, these recounts will probably not see Hillary Clinton seeing enough change in the votes to give her the White House, but if the margins in these states are much smaller, it could get the Electoral College voters in those states cause to consider just who they cast a vote for when the vote is taken later this month...Donald Trump is not qualified to be President,and there is more than ample evidence to show this was a RIGGED Presidential Election.

So, how do you feel about fascism, Nazi sympathizers and the KKK taking over the White House, and every faction of our Federal Government?  Welcome to a Donald Trump Presidency!  In his latest attempt at stifling our First Amendment Rights, the Orange Menace himself tweeted out that the burning of an American Flag should be punishable by up to one year in prison and/or loss of our American Citizenship.  Let the fear and loathing begin! 

As if this were not enough, his various and assorted picks for his cabinet and other important positions gets scarier by the day.  Trump has drained the swamp and open the valve to the cesspool as his hand picked pieces of shit prepare to take over the task of running this already great country...the harm they are about to cause frightening in scope and vision.  Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security, LGBT Rights are all now officially on the chopping block, as well as all those pesky fair housing laws that protect against discrimination.  

As if this is not enough, can we quit white washing (pun intended) Bigots, racists, Nazi's and other malcontents of the far far right by referring to them in the media as the Alt Right?   These monsters of our American Society seem to have but one goal...returning America to the good old days of WHITE SUPREMACY and making any one who is non white, or non Christian second or even third class citizens.

If all this does not bring visions of Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich quickly to mind it should.   Trump's rise to power, his use and manipulation of Mass Media are racing down a path the world has seen before, a path that brought us World War II and the Holocaust, and if he is left unchecked, we are on the verge of repeating the darkest period of Human History as Satan's Demon-spawn marches us into a World War that we will not win.  When that war is over and finished, America as we knew it will be gone, and our position as the Super Power of the World will be over, our nation kicked into the dustbin of failed states.

On a separate note.

A simple Google Search or two quickly gives you the addresses of almost every Donald J Trump holding/building in the world.  If every citizen of America can access this information, so can every terrorist in the world who is looking for a target that would hurt America.   Donald J Trump becoming President of the United States of America has made everyone of his properties a target, and all of those who are renting office space in those buildings, who own apartments, condos in those buildings are foolish if they do not accept this very basic harsh truth.     As long as this horrid monster remains in the White House, none of his property are safe from becoming a target of those bent on doing harm to America.

Less than 25 percent of eligible voters cast a vote in favor of the Orange Orangutan Donald J. Trump; the majority of America's citizens thinking this bigoted, racist misogynistic lunatic could never get elected to the highest office in the land, become the most powerful elected person in the World...yet through voter suppression, FBI and Russian intervention in the electoral process to elect our next president this insidious and insipid pimple on a maggot's ass managed to lose the "Popular Vote" by well over 2 million votes, yet winning enough "Electoral College" votes to be chosen (not by the people) as the 45th President of the United States.   Now we the citizens are facing an unthinkable horror...living under the reign of a fascist dictator who is having a bromance with Russia's Vladimir Putin, the most dangerous leader the world has known since Adolf Hitler.  

Sadly, there is little chance of the Republican controlled House and Senate actually moving forward to IMPEACH this self serving ego-maniacal, self serving, narcissistic mad man who as President Elect is already using the White House and his position to enrich himself,and his family.  Which begged the question, what can "We the People" to to save ourselves and our nation from Donald J. Trump?   Unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing we can do...our forefathers considered giving us the power of the recall, but it never made it into the Constitution.

Which begs the question, has the time come that "We The People"use our power of redress found in the "First Amendment" to petition both houses of Congress for a Constitutional Amendment giving "We the People" the power of recalling all Federally Elected Officials we find unfit to hold office? We could do a two for one amendment, one that grants us the right to recall officials elected to federal public office, and doing away with the Electoral College that gives an unfair weighted advantage to the votes in under-populated states.  How is it fair that say the votes of New York'ers carry far less weight in the Electoral College than the votes of people living in Wyoming or North Dakota?

A "Constitutional Amendment" will not rid us of the most ill-equipped President Elect America has ever seen, but it will give us an out if such a tragic specimen ever to claim the nomenclature of human-being should the voters of the future ever find themselves being duped by a similar set of villains that rigged this election (FBI, Russia, Wikileaks, Voter Fraud and Suppression,   Stupidity and Greed of Mass Media).

Army Corp, Federal, State and Local Governments Sell Out DAPL Protesters, Water Protectors

In what could be the last stand for the DAPL Protesters and Water Protesters, the Army Corp has sold them out, given them just days to vacate Army Corp land and leave their encampment or face Federal Charges.  In what can only be classified as a sell out to BIG OIL, the Army Corp issued the following statement.

These PEACEFUL Protesters Are Not The Violent Ones

“This decision is necessary to protect the general public from the violent confrontation between protestors and law enforcement officials that have occurred in this area, and to prevent death, illness, or serious injury to inhabitants of encampments due to the harsh North Dakota winter conditions.”

First, leave no doubt...THE VIOLENCE was not caused by the protesters and "Water Protectors" but by the contractors, their private security, and local/state law enforcement.  Secondly, find it very odd that Oil Field workers can live in campers,survive the harsh Dakota winters,but the Army Corp acts as of those protesting the DAPL are incapable of preparting their encampment for the coming winter season of cold and snow.   Lastly, and most importantly, the Army Corp's decision conveniently would allow  Energy Transfer Partners who merged with Sunoco to avoid financial ruination to complete the pipeline just in time to fulfill their contractual obligations to start pumping product through the line in early January.  Profits ahead of people...specifically, Profits ahead of Native Americans and their rights under Treaty!   Give BIG OIL what it wants,and maybe we will talk about some damages after the project is up and running....PROBABLY NOT.

This people CANNOT GO UNCHALLENGED!  We as a nation only have nine days to prepare, if necessary "A Last Stand" against the DAPL...Doing that means bodies! that means donations of money, food, and WINTER ACCOMMODATIONS...as in heaters, campers, firewood, and warm clothes.  The time has come for "We The People" to rise up in large numbers, time for us to exercise our 1st Amendment Rights to stand up to this rape of a people, stand up to this rape of our environment.

Black Friday Post Thanksgiving Thoughts

First, a special shout out to Dianne, and her fine staff at OD's here in Nyack for making our Thanksgiving Show one for the memory books.   If you are looking for incredible, locally sourced, GMO and Glutin free organic dining, this is the place to be.   Thank you Diane, staff, and our very own "Rockland Forager" for putting out a Thanksgiving spread worthy of the Pilgrims whom we are celebrating.  The show, and all the guests had a great time, and the sense of community share with all the guests is one that brought with it some memories I will carry on though out my life.

Black Friday...early reports are positive for retailers, which saddens this writer.  There were efforts online (Twitter) to generate a "#BoycottBlackFriday" movement, but alas that effort to make a statement about the unacceptability of Donald J. Trump as the 45th President fizzled out, unable to generate enough traction to get noticed.   That said, I will be skipping the day, and also will not participate in the Internet equivalent held this upcoming Monday.    Trump has divided America, he lost the Popular Vote, and I can never accept him as my President, so will be participating in any action to keep the negative focus on this vile excuse for a human being.

The DAPL protests are continuing, even on Thanksgiving.  Sadly, so does the push to complete the project before the end of the Calendar year.   In even stranger news, Energy Transfer Partners has just announced a merger with Sunoco Logistics Partners, another one of the vile partners in this Pipeline Project which is doomed to poison the drinking water in the area...it is noted here, that there is a Pipeline leak of significance every 30 hours here in America.

Dakota Pipeline War UPDATE...Energy Transfer Partners CEO Kelcy Warren, "PROFIT OVER PEOPLE"

“There’s not another way. We’re building at that location,” Energy Transfer Partners CEO Kelcy Warren told The Associated Press as the company digs in its feet, plans legal action to force his will on Native Americans...the question is, WHY? 

The Army Corp has not granted an easement under the Missouri River in North Dakota near a Native American tribe’s reservation, claiming more negotiation and discussion is needed to find COMPROMISE between the parties.   

Problem is, Kelcy Warren and his company have contract OBLIGATIONS to fulfill starting in January of 2017 and in his mind, that reality should take precedent over people,and safety.

Rather than having dialogue it seems Energy Transfer Partners is counting on their own very not so SECRET WEAPON, one "NOT MY PRESIDENT" Donald J Trump who is HEAVILY invested in the project.   That coupled with CEO Kelcy Warren's heavy investment of over $100,000 in Donald J Trump's Presidential Campaign suggests pay to play and corruption at the highest levels of our political process, and the corporate fossil fuel industry.

Pretending an interest in finding compromise, Ceo Kelcy Warren suggests he wants a PRIVATE MEETING with Standing Rock Sioux Chairman Dave Archambault in the hope (one has to think) of buying him off with a few beads and trinkets...sorry Kelcy, but those days are gone forever.  Preferring to have dialogue through proper channels that will give ALL STAKEHOLDERS THEIR PROPER VOICE, Dave Archambault has so far declined a request for a private meeting.

NOTE-Contrary to Kelcy Warren's claims, pipelines are not near as safe as he would have you believe!  Independent analysis of federal records found that since 1986, oil and gas pipeline leaks, spills and other safety incidents have resulted in nearly $7 billion in damages, more than 2,000 injuries and more than 500 deaths.

Where'd our LOCAL PROGRAMMING on AM RADIO GO?

If you listen to local AM Radio station 1700AM you have noticed what is, at the very least, some very ODD PROGRAMMING...especially when you look at all the reasons they stated in their request to have the FCC to put out a much stronger signal.   Here is what we here at the "Voice of Reason" know so far:

1.  All the programs the station had that had ANY KIND OF AUDIENCE have been ripped off the air, and now are only available via online streaming of these shows.

2.  The owners of the station have ODDLY and EGREGIOUSLY taken a local AM Signal and decided to dedicate it over solely to Indian Language programming from Radio India for the next 12 months...one has to wonder if this in the best interest of OUR COMMUNITY, or were the owners given a deal TO SWEET TO SAY NO TO by Radio Indie?

3.   We are not sure the FCC knows about this odd change that runs contrary to the expansion of their license from this writers perspective, but we will be filing an inquiry with several state and federal agency on this matter.

The station press release says,  “We look forward to serving our current audience and future listeners with great local, general interest and niche-specific programming.”  Would love to hear them explain how Indian Language programming and music from Radio Indie is consider GREAT LOCAL programming...STAY TUNED!

In the meantime, we are investigating this, and look for this to be a topic on "Voice of Reason" in the VERY NEAR FUTURE!  AS an aside...for those who do not know it, Rockland World Radio is starting its fourteenth year of broadcasting, is the most experienced truly local Internet Broadcast station in our area...something all of our Rockland County advertisers should remember when planning their advertising budgets...go where the listeners are, and go with the experienced local Radio Station to get results.

Kelcy Warren of "Energy Transfer Partners" Now Stooping To Bullying

We here at "Voice of Reason" have been giving extensive coverage to the Dakota Pipeline protests, humbled by the efforts of the Water Protectors and those who are supporting them as they stand up against the egregiously neglect corporate monsters who are putting profits ahead of environmental protections, and what is best for the communities being forced to play host to another dangerous pipeline.  Too often, despite false assurances that these projects are safe, a horrendous accident is not a question of if, but a question of when.

The money changers who have funded this project want the pipeline up and operational by the beginning of the New Year...in an attempt to meet this goal, and to thwart the will of the people it seems that Kelcy Warren  CEO of "Energy Transfer Partners" based out of Texas has decided to BULLY the opposition by going into Court, asking a Federal Judge to force the Army Corp of Engineers to approve the last permit needed to complete the project and make it operational.   He is claiming the permitting delay is a direct result of the "Obama Administration and their political interference in the process, calling it "a flagrant disregard for the law.
